Dr Jean-Philippe Chetcuti, tax partner at Chetcuti Cauchi, has served for a number of years on the Institute's Direct Taxation Advisory Committee and the Trusts Subcommittee.  He also formed part of the Tax on Trusts Task Groups with a mandate to liaise with the VAT and tax departments during the important time of the drafting and implementation of Malta's Trusts & Trustees Act.

Council elections are held at the end of the year's mandate of the Council of the Institute of Financial Services Practitioners (IFSP).  Jean-Philippe's nomination and election to the Council is an opportunity for the firm's involvement in and contribution to Malta's financial services industry.
