Mr Reuben Portanier has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of the
Lotteries and Gaming Authority.
Mr Portanier is an Economics Graduate. He has experience in senior
management in the ICT Industry and in Management Consultancy. He has
recently occupied senior positions within Datatrak Group and MITTS
Ltd (now MITA). He has worked within the Government's in-house
change management agency and with an international audit and
advisory firm. In 2004, he assisted the Government of Bermuda in its
capacity building exercise on ICT and Government Strategic Planning.
Other past experiences include chairing the Government's CIO
Council, membership of the National Information Society Advisory
Council and representing Malta on the International Council for
Information Technology in Public Administration (ICA). In 2006, Mr
Portanier co-authored the Government's Industry Strategy for Malta
2007-2010.
