On Saturday 24th July, during a staff
reception held at the firm’s new offices in St Ursula Street,
Valletta, the firm announced the admission of Priscilla
Mifsud-Parker and Kenneth Camilleri as partners.
Dr Priscilla Mifsud-Parker joined the firm in
2003 as legal trainee moving up the ranks to senior associate
and, before making partner, to manager with key responsibilities
in the firm’s Corporate & Commercial Law, Tax and Trust Law
practice groups. A graduate in law with distinction, Priscilla
later read for a Masters in Financial Services specialising in
trusts law and taxation. Priscilla was instrumental in the
growth of the firm’s international private clients and corporate
practices. She is an Executive Council Member and
Secretary of the Malta branch of STEP, the Society for Trusts &
Estate Practitioners, a member of the Chamber of Advocates and
of the Prevention of Money Laundering Committee of the Institute
of Financial Services Practitioners. Priscilla has lectured the
advanced paper in taxation at a leading ACCA training provider.
An accountant by profession, Kenneth Camilleri
has been with the firm for over five years and has spear-headed
the growth of the accounting arm of the firm. Over the years,
Kenneth has occupied the positions of financial controller and
senior manager of the firm’s accounting practice before his
appointment as Partner. Bringing with him a wealth of industry
experience, particularly in the hospitality, steel and gaming
industries, Kenneth is a key advisor to the firm’s accounting
and tax clients. Kenneth has ACCA lecturing experience in the
advanced paper in taxation and is in charge of the firms’ tax
compliance practice. Kenneth sits on the Taxation Committee of
the Malta Institute of Accountants and is also the partner in
charge of finance within the firm.
Commenting on his recent appointment, Mr.
Camilleri said: “I am honoured to be presented the opportunity
to work with a high calibre team in a firm that really does
challenge traditional thinking with their style and range of
services.” Dr Mifsud-Parker added: “I’m pleased to have joined a
team which is clearly one of the first and fastest growing
multi-disciplinary practices in Malta – making it a key player
amongst the island’s top advisory practices.”
Dr Jean-Philippe Chetcuti, Managing Partner of
Chetcuti Cauchi, said of these promotions: “Our strategy has
been to pull together a team of talented partners and directors
that are able to meet the range of opportunities facing
businesses in a globalised business community. Priscilla and
Kenneth’s appointment as partners adds a further distinct
dimension to the firm and we are very proud of their
achievements.”
Chetcuti Cauchi enjoys a largely international
client base and spans the legal, tax, corporate, accounting and
assurance professions, with a complement of over 60 professional
and support staff. These recent appointments bring the number of
partners up to six.
