Malta & the European Patent Convention (20 April 2004)
The Maltese IP Office, together with the European Patent Office
(EPO) organised a full day seminar for participants from industry,
research and educational institutions, inventors and patent
attorneys, to discuss the substantive and formal procedures involved
in the registration of a European Patent.
Negotiations for accession to the EPC have already commenced and
although the EPO is a independent and a separate entity from the EU,
Malta’s EPC membership is a natural follow-up to its EU accession. |

National Conference on Innovation and Entrepreneurship (21 May 2004)
Malta Enterprise is the meeting point
for enterprise in Malta. It has a role to act as a single point of
contact of all enterprise considering trade, investment or
commercial links with Malta.
The May
Conference was organised with the
objective of creating awareness on innovation and entrepreneurship
and their growth as well as motivating enterprises and highlighting
the importance of mutual understating between the players in the
industry.
