Malta & the European Patent Convention
The Maltese IP Office, together with the European Patent Office (EPO) organised a full day seminar for participants from industry, research and educational institutions, inventors and patent attorneys, to discuss the substantive and formal procedures involved in the registration of a European Patent.
Negotiations for accession to the EPC have already commenced and although the EPO is a independent and a separate entity from the EU, Maltas EPC membership is a natural follow-up to its EU accession.
