Legal fees payable in Malta for legal services

Before taking on new clients the firm will undertake a conflicts check to ensure that there are no professional reasons why we cannot act. Assuming no conflict exists, all clients will be asked to sign an engagement letter. This letter sets out both the level of service that the firm provides and the basis upon which you will be charged for our work.

The majority of our legal work is charged for on the basis of an hourly rate with bills being sent out at the end of each month. Rates vary depending on the seniority and experience of the fee earner involved. If asked to do so we will provide an estimate of our fees before commencing work.

Some services are undertaken on a fixed fee basis while in some cases, where the scope and extent of the work is clear from the outset, it may be possible to agree a fixed fee.

For more information on fees please speak to your Chetcuti Cauchi lawyer or email us at your convenience.
